Programs & Initiatives

Illinois Student Council has a rich history of creating programs and initiatives on campus.

ISC Leadership Initiative (ILI)

ILI (ISC Leadership Initiative) is a program developed by the Illinois Student Council dedicated to fostering personal growth, nurturing leadership skills, and facilitating connections within both the campus and the broader Champaign-Urbana community. Through ILI, you'll gain an insider's perspective on ISC while exploring your capacity to contribute positively.

iClicker Loan Program

The iClicker Loan Program began in the early 2000s to assist students in acquiring iClickers for classes. Today, the program is coordinated by the Office of Minority Student Affairs (OMSA). Priority for iClicker distribution is provided in the following order: iPromise Scholars, TRIO Students, then any student on a first-come-first-serve basis. Requests for iClicker can be made through Brian Becker, OMSA Academic Outreach Advisor, at blbecke2@illinois.edu.

HOPE Scholarship

The Helping Others’ Personal Excellence (HOPE) Scholarship is a student-initiated fee that provides funds for students who demonstrate financial need yet do not otherwise qualify for financial aid. Illinois Student Council and I-CAUSE created and implemented this scholarship in 2020. This scholarship fund—a commitment by students, for students—is intended to help alleviate some of the burdens that come with attaining higher education.
